I decided to make an other GARDEN card for OUTDOORS.
I used MFP
 FLOWER BLOCK STAMP SET.

I stamped the flower with black stazon ink. I added dazzling diamonds glitter on top of flower. I thought the sparkle on the flower looked good with the sparkle ribbon. The colors were colors that were in my daughter's wedding. I have a lot of thank you cards to make. So this one will be one of them. It is going to my daughter's mother in law to thank her for all the help she did making the wedding a success.

Here is a photo of my two daughters, (bride, and matron of honor in coral) and my daughter's best friend (in teal).

Now, you might look at my card and wonder how it fits the theme Outdoor fun. Chickens are fun, but I challenge you to keep chickens inside your house. I did keep some baby chicks in the house when my kids were little. That only lasted a couple of days. They quickly outgrew the little box they were in and I didn't want chickens pooping all over the house so they quickly became OUTDOOR chickens.

I used 2 MFP sets
 Chicken Wire Stamp Set
 and
Flaps My Wattles Stamp Set

I used black stazon to stamp the wire to white cardstock.

I then stapled a piece of burlap to the cardstock.

I die cut 3 circles of dp.

I die cut 3 circles of white cardstock and stamped the chickens on the circles. I painted them. There is wink of stella gold on the heads and I added dimensional gold paint to the flowers.

This card is for this week's I {heart} Sketches with a tWist 157
The twist this week is sparkle. I did both the sketch and the sparkle.

With yesterday being the first day of summer, my thoughts turned to summers when I was a little girl. What stood out to me the most was my mother's garden. She loves growing flowers. So I decided to make a garden card using Chrysanthemum Stamp Set.

I made a mosaic background. I stamped the mum with versamark and ep and heat embossed.. I also ran it through my cuttlebug to dry emboss. I stamped the mum on white cardstock and water colored it. I then fussy cut it out. Thanks for looking and leaving a comment.

K-cup holder

I made this coffee tag, You can see how I made it on THIS POST.
I thought that I need to make a project to put the tag on. I decided to make a K cup holder.

Front view of the holder

Top view of box.

Make sure you check out all the coffee themed projects for the Coffee Lovers Summer Blog Hop.

Coffee Lovers Summer blog hop mixed media tag

STAMPlorations is one of the sponsors of the hop.
to make this floral coffee tag.
This is also for the Mix-ABILITY Challenge on SCS to make a layered floral mixed media tag.

Here are some photos showing how I made it.
I started by taking a Kraft tag and gluing scraps of different dp. Then I stamped the music notes from STAMPlorations.

I sent the tag through my cuttlebug with my script embossing folder.

I went over the embossing with gold metallic rub

I cut a coffee cup out of floral paper. I used versamark and UTEE to make it look like glass. I curved it over my finger so that when it cooled it had a slight curve. I added punched circles to glue the cup to the tag.  I added cheesecloth and lace to the tag.

I added quilled roses.

I knew it needed a bow. I used the ribbon that I won from Diana Larson last hop. It was perfect.

Love

This weekend my daughter is getting married. My family will not only be celebrating this new love, but we will also be celebrating the long love of my parents and my in laws.

My parents had their golden anniversary:  50 years.
So I added a lot of gold to this card with metallic gold rub. as well as gold netting ribbon.

My in laws had their diamond anniversary: 60 years.
I added diamond glitter and rhinestones, to this card to look like diamonds.

When my husband and I got married 25 years ago, We honored our parents, then married 25 and 35 and my grandparents married 50. I pray that my daughter and her future husband have a long life of love together.

Birthday card in blues

I made this card on Tuesday for the SCS -CC586  color challenge

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgArr97oA_L741Wgof9IYG5B-rUJap4WiK2GHSZ7btfyjj3v6BjCCSufSF4yiHnjOdodG_kCLZNfwYHwsRDQvjv0iA7zVLDKnxyPDTC7fiVO9ie7zEbzwrlAMDFdkkXN_9gMPuu5zGFRfeV/s1600/mojo451.gif

I did watercoloring lifting using the markers that matched the colors. I ink spray smashed the colors onto a piece of white cardstock.
embossed with clear embossing powder. Then I lifted some of the color up.  I dry embossed with a script folder and rubbed with gold metallic rub. I used gold glitter glue for the butterfly trail and glamour dust glitter for the center of the flower.

A note of encouragement for Grace

The mix-Ability challenge for SCS this week is to do scratch art. Where you laydown color using crayons or pastels and cover it with a dark paint and then scratch some of the paint away to reveal the colors underneath. I used pastels in blues and greens. Once I had completely covered the caredstock, I painted it with black acrylic paint. Once the paint was dry I embossed it with a music notes embossing folder and my cuttlebug. I then took sandpaper to scratch the paint off.

I added crimped tissue paper and cheesecloth for texture. I wanted my die cut bird and music note to stand out, so I put them on a scrap that I had left over from last week's mix challenge. After I had glued the bird and music note down, I splattered the whole card with white acrylic paint. I added a little golden rhinestone for the birds eye. I hand lettered the sentiment. This card is going to my friend Grace who found out last night that there is problem with her pregnancy and that she has to be bedridden for the remainder of the time. He due date is in Dec. That is a long time to have to be put up especially since she has 3 small preschool children. Will you join me in saying prayers for God's protection and provision for this little baby?

My delicate shabby beautiful MESS

Today the TLC was a rerun of an old technique. It has been done as a tlc challenge 2 times before. That technique was FAUX cloisonne. TLC589

I used a uniform catalog. One of the things I remembered when I started working on this card was how flimsy the magazine paper is. I didn't want it to look cheap. I wanted it to have a little bit of firmness, so I glued it to a piece of cardstock. I wish I had used a glue stick because the white glue that I used left it a little warped.

I embossed a pretty piece of cardstock with Stamplorations mini mixed media backgrounds. I used the music notes.I ran the floral carstock through cuttlebug with script folder and rubbed gold metallic rub over raised areas. I was thinking that since I was already recyling on my card with the catalog that I would add cardboard. Of course what is a card without lace, ribbon, pearls, rhinestones, cheesecloth...? So I pulled all of that out of my embellishments boxes and I placed it all on the embossed floral cardstock. I took this photo and sent it to my friend Pam. I told her it looked like my embellishments had puked on my desk.

After a little bit of layering and adjusting, and changing out ribbons
I came up with this finished card.

Here is a close up of the faux cloisonne butterfly. What I liked about my butterfly is having the cardstock underneath gave it a more elegant look, I think. When I first cut it out you could see the white cardstock so I rubbed gold metallic rub over the edges to give it a finished look.

When my card was all done, I sent a photo of it to a friend... who will remain anonymous. She said, and I quote. "That is delicate shabby beautiful mess." She had been voice texting and meant to say beautifulness. I thought it was funny because it did sort of start out as a mess that when put together gave a shabby beautiful vintage feel to my card. She felt bad about it. but it made me laugh and smile. And I love how my delicate shabby beautiful MESS turned out.

Lifting up a song- mix-Ability card

My card that I'm sharing today is for several challenges.
First for:
Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge PPA303, I love the colors in this challenge.

Second challenge:
Try it on Tuesday: I can Hear Music I used music notes for my little birds to sing.

The third challenge is :
Word art Wednesday 232-233

The fourth challenge is the MIX-ABILITY challenge on Splitcoast stampers. I am the hostess this week. My friend Maxine shared a card using this technique last month and you can see it HERE.

When I saw it I knew I was going to use Jennifer Mcguire's Watercoloring Lifting Heat Embossing

Here is what my watercolor wash looked like when it dried.

I stamped the music notes with versamark and clear embossing powder. Then I lifted the color up. I then stamped the birds and grass, with  black stazon. The black didn't completely fill in because the paper was a little warped. I thought about filling it in with a sharpie marker, but then I decided to color it in with blue and green. I added green to the grass as well.

I added white acrylic paint drops and lines to the grass.
I sprayed gold shimmer paint on panel. I splattered white acrylic paint with a toothbrush. I also added glamour dust to the flowers.

I added cheesecloth and brads to finish off my card.
